Position Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Client Accounting Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our clients and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. As well as be a potential mentor to junior staff members in work reviews and answer questions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client accounting operations and client portfolios for small and mid-sized businesses.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Act as the point of contact for clients, and prepare and review account reconciliations for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members, including training and mentorship.
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to address accounting-related issues and provide strategic advice.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities to expand services.
- Provide support to outside auditors, tax preparers, and legal teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 4+ years of experience in public accounting or in a client serving focused accountant role.
- Thorough understanding of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- This role can be based in Madison (WI) or Brookfield (WI), as well as Minnesota or Illinois in a remote setting in the midwest.
