Sr Accountant- Accounting Manager Career Track! - Creative Financial Staffing

• Established Company with multiple entities primarily in the Maritime/Fishing industry is seeking an Accounting Manager on account of a recent promotion! This person will be involved in accounting, analytical and strategic responsibilities and be an important part of this dynamic small privately held company.

• This person will report directly to the company President who started in this position 16 years ago!
• Base Salary-$90K-$110K + 10% bonus potential

The Sr. Accountant responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare reports that summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expenses, and net earnings based on past, present, and expected operations.
• Analyze financial statements and perform financial analysis to recommend cost saving measures and improvements in operations.
• Preparation of budgets.
• Perform due diligence on potential acquisitions.
• Arrange for reviews and or/audits of the company’s financials; lead the CPA firm relationship for audits and tax returns.
• Coordinating the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Financial statements and ad hoc reporting to President and Board.
• Implement revenue recognition and accounting procedures in accordance with GAAP.
• Help manage Accounting and IT Departments.
• Help manage IT updates and software upgrades/implementations for the company, accounting department, CRM, and HR software.
• Occasional Travel may be necessary depending on the work situation.

Qualifications for the Senior Accountant:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required; CPA is a plus.
• 3-5+ years of progressive experience
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting
• Desire to learn and be an integral part of the company.
• Strong Communication skills
