Sr A/P Accountant - Vaco, LLC

About the Job
This is a full-time opportunity, on-site.
The ideal candidate for this position is familiar with accounting knowledge. They are experienced at accounting and this person must have the ability to perform and understand accounts payable on SAP.
Responsibilities:
- Process vendor invoices and conduct vendor balance reconciliation for services including utilities, rental, shipping, events, maintenance, etc.
- Obtaining approvals for invoices;
- Confirm the presence of relevant documentation - invoice, Purchase Request, Proof of Deliveries, etc. prior to payment;
- Track all temporary employee payments with agencies for timely payment;
- Perform in-time check runs, ACH, and credit card payments; void & reissue checks, cutting final checks;
- Post all journals for expense reports and re-class invoices when needed;
- Review by company policy, make payments, and record employee reimbursement reports;
- Approve Canada & US expense reports;
- Post payments for Inventory purchases made locally as well as overseas;
- In-time posting of acquired monthly Assets;
- Assist with month-end procedures and accruals;
- Prepare Use and Sales Tax data for tax reporting purposes;
- Filing and pulling copies for audit when needed;
- Assist with MDFs, RDFs, and labor Claims
- Generally handling all aspects of AP cycles.
- Accounting Degree or related major and 5+ years accounting experience, or 7+ years of hands-on accounts payable experience
- SAP experience 1-2 years minimum
- Strong GAAP Knowledge.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
