Job Title: SQL Server DBA
Location: Woodland Hills, CA (Onsite from Day 1)
Duration: Fulltime/Permanent
Job Description:
" Experience in SQL server Database administration, windows, Azure / AWS cloud knowledge , SSIS , SSRS Administration.
" Installing and configuring SQL Server.
" Configure and maintain database servers and processes.
" Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
" Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
" Extensive configuration knowledge on always on, failover clustering, log shipping, Mirroring on on-prem and cloud is recommended.
" Administrating high availability solution like log shipping, mirroring, clustering, and replication.
" Experience on user creation, assigning roles and privileges.
" Administering / migration users, logins, jobs, linked servers, other SQL server objects with minimum efforts.
" Administering SSIS, SSRS and SSAS.
" Migrating SQL server databases from On-prem to cloud.
" Automating administration tasks, managing security, monitor server performance and activities.
" Expertise on encryption and SQL server TDE.
" Monitor system's health and performance.
" Space management including file group, managing transactional log files.
" Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability, and security.
" Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time.
" Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
" Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement.
" Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
" Good knowledge on aws / azure.
" Perform scheduled maintenance, patching and support release deployment activities.
" Experience on patching, deploying security updates, upgrading SQL server.
" Active participation in Production support tasks and meeting the deadlines.
" Fair Knowledge on other RDMS like Postgres, MySQL.
