Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to join our team on a contract basis and manage the performance, reliability, and scalability of our database environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive production DBA experience, including managing SQL Server, Oracle, and AWS Aurora/RDS databases, ensuring enterprise-grade performance for customer accounts and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, monitor, and optimize SQL Server, Oracle, and AWS Aurora/RDS databases in production environments.
• Perform traditional DBA tasks, including backups, recovery, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery for enterprise customer data.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize database schemas, queries, and configurations.
• Implement and maintain database security best practices to protect sensitive customer data.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and patching.
• Proactively monitor database health and resolve performance bottlenecks.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a production DBA managing SQL Server databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Aurora and RDS.
• Experience managing Oracle databases in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of database architecture, indexing, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS environments and customer data hosting.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multi-cloud database environments.
• Certifications such as AWS Database Specialty or Microsoft SQL certifications.
