Summary
Are you a seasoned database expert with a passion for designing innovative solutions and leading high-performing teams? We are seeking a hands-on SQL DBA with extensive expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake, and AWS RDS. In this role, you will lead the management and optimization of data infrastructure, support business intelligence initiatives, and mentor a growing team of database engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Snowflake Data Architecture
- Architect, develop, and maintain Snowflake data warehouses and data lakes, with a focus on governance, security, and performance.
SQL Server Leadership
- Design, manage, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including Always-On availability groups, clustered environments, replication services, and performance monitoring.
Cloud Database Management
- Optimize and manage database solutions in AWS RDS; support Azure SQL environments as needed.
ETL and Data Workflows
- Build and streamline ETL pipelines, reporting solutions, and workflows using tools like SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
Operational DBA Tasks
- Perform essential database maintenance, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
Collaboration and Integration
- Partner with IT and DevOps teams to ensure smooth project management and delivery using platforms like Azure DevOps.
Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide a team of database engineers, promoting collaboration, skill development, and shared success.
Data Project Support
- Collaborate with Business Intelligence and Data Analytics teams to advance data-driven organizational initiatives.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure all databases adhere to best practices for security, integrity, and compliance.
Data Tools and Automation
- Configure and manage integration platforms and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, and scripting tools like Python or R.
Qualifications
Experience
- 10+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, including Always-On clustered environments.
- 5+ years of experience managing Snowflake data warehouses and data lakes.
- Expertise in AWS RDS database management; Azure SQL experience is preferred.
- Proven experience with BI and ETL tools, including Power BI, SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or equivalent platforms for code and project management.
- Exposure to MySQL and advanced optimization tools.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell; experience with Python or R is a plus.
- Knowledge of data integration tools such as Boomi, Redshift, or Databricks is highly desirable.

- Leadership skills to effectively inspire, mentor, and manage a team.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Sciences, or equivalent experience.
