SQL Database Administrator with Security Clearance at Peerless Technologies Corporation

The successful candidate will work within the US Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to provide technical advice for acquisition, development, and/or sustainment of data networks and facility related control systems (FRCS), sub- systems, support equipment, and cyber security relating to Advanced Meter Reading Systems (AMRS). The candidate will create/maintain an inventory database of all Air Force meters and metered facilities and collect data from site surveys and Air Force Base Energy Managers. The candidate shall have experience providing data management capability to include Database Administration, be proficient with SQL (writing queries, Data modification, database maintenance, database backups) with CE-CS data to support energy resilience, utility outage metrics or other energy informed decision possible from CE-CS data. Requirements: - Database management: Maintaining existing databases and creating new ones
- Performance: Ensuring high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Troubleshooting: Analyzing, solving, and correcting issues in real time
- Maintenance: Performing regular maintenance tasks, such as index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning
- Backup and recovery: Implementing and maintaining strategies to minimize data loss and downtime
- Collaboration: Working with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient use of database resources
- Write SQL queries against many databases to create reports
- Support: Providing support for critical production systems
- Security: Apply appropriate security measures to databases (STIGs) and maintain system functionality
- DOD 8570 and IAT Level II certification
- Secret level DoD Security Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain one.
