Job Duties:
- Managing the lay out, installation, maintenance, and repair of fixed fire protection systems.
- Adhering strictly to manufacturer guidelines, relevant codes, and company protocols while providing services.
- Deciphering blueprints to ensure accurate installation, repair, and maintenance of systems.
- Selecting suitable materials based on job specifications and promptly communicating material requirements.
- Organizing and mobilizing equipment and materials to and from job sites efficiently.
- Identifying essential alterations to proposed work and coordinating with the Field Supervisor for proper implementation.
- Strategizing the sequence of installation or repair to minimize disruptions to customer activities.
- Utilizing appropriate tools to cut, thread, and bend pipes, securing them with proper techniques.
- Conducting training sessions for Technician Trainees, as required.
- Ensuring cleanliness and tidiness at job sites.
- Exercising decision-making authority to ensure successful transactions and customer satisfaction.
Education, Certifications, Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of four years experience within the fire protection industry, OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Sprinkler install and service on Wet, Dry, Pre-action and Deluge systems
- NICET certification
- Able to meet state licensing requirements and/or vendor certifications
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of individuals
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
