Spot weld/Grinder at Nesco Resource

Monday-Thursday (occasionally work Fridays)

$18/hr

SUMMARY
Assembles, spotwelds, grinds and polishes sub-assemblies and final assembly's working independently and as a member of a team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Selects equipment, fixtures and hand tools needed to perform task; sets up and maintains equipment used.
• Positions, aligns, and spot welds components together using fixtures, gauges, and measuring tools.
• Grinds, files, polishes welds to insure a smooth even transition between components.
• Interpret Company process control documents (Engineering Drawings, Travelers, and Product Catalogs) to determine component configuration.
• Proficiency in the use of all necessary measuring methods.
• Proficiency in the use of PC-based information systems.
• Setup and operate stationary overhead and multi head spot welders.
• Ensure workmanship meets or exceeds company quality standards.
• Assist in product development.

QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 1. Must be able to read ruler and interpret blueprints.
2. Must have basic welding knowledge and experience plus be able to use grinding and polishing tools.
3. Ability to follow and understand instructions

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
