Sports Performance Coach – Part-Time -Days

The Sports Performance Coach practically applies foundational knowledge to assess, motivate, educate, and train youth/high school/college/elite athletes, as well as adults and seniors. The primary goal of our program is improving sport performance for all ages. Identify and assess each participant’s health status, strength and conditioning levels, and training goals to create safe, effective training programs for groups and individuals. Design and implement training programs for individuals and groups that maximize performance by applying the principles of exercise order. Effectively communicate with sports performance staff and participants in the program. Provide clear guidance and instruction on flexibility, conditioning, strength/power, and plyometric exercises, and procedures. Implement injury prevention, rehabilitation, and reconditioning plans; provide modifications based on injury status and/or risk factors. Maintain the equipment and the facility to provide a safe, effective training environment.

This is a part-time day shift position at NewYork-Presbyterian Lawrence Hospital located at our offsite office at 633 White Plains Road, Eastchester.

Required Criteria 

• Master’s degree in Exercise Science/related program or equivalent training and/or experience. OR  Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science/related program or equivalent training and/or experience W/ 7 years experience.
• Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) required. If a qualified candidate does not currently hold a CSCS, they will have 90 days to obtain such credentials.
