The Sports Marketing Coordinator, ESPN Deportes & International supports the marketing and promotional planning and execution of Deportes. This position provides support in the development and execution of these properties’ marketing strategies and multi-platform promotional plans across ESPN (including ESPN+), in addition to providing overall support for the Sports Marketing team. The Sports Marketing Coordinator will be a key liaison between our sports marketing team, media team, internal and external creative teams, and the broader ESPN cross-functional organization. This role is based in New York, New York. The position reports to the Director of Sports Marketing.
Departmental Summary:
The Content Sports Marketing department at ESPN is responsible for creating and executing live sport marketing strategies across streaming and linear television platforms. The department covers a wide range of sports, including UFC, Soccer, NFL, NBA, NHL, women’s sports properties and much more, for both ESPN Deportes and our International markets. The team works closely with media, creative teams, content producers, programmers, and distributors to deliver engaging and relevant sports marketing strategies to fans around the world. The Content Sports Marketing department is always looking for new and innovative ways to showcase the best of sports, ESPN's brand, and reach expansion audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Supports creative development and execution of marketing materials.
- Builds creative deliverables and timelines to ensure work is finished, delivered, and trafficked on time (and on budget).
- Develops the relationship and production timelines with the internal creative teams.
- Ensures accuracy and excellence of all work done internally and by creative agencies.
- Provides input on creative development and execution of marketing materials.
- Partners closely with Media on the scheduling and delivery of on and off channel assets.
- Liaisons day-to-day correspondence with internal and external creative partners including relaying creative feedback and management of full timelines.
- Develops a full understanding of the programming schedules and sponsor requirements to ensure all marketing materials and deliverables are accurate.
- Aides in the management of the budget.
- Works with the research and media teams to translate data into inputs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 months of related marketing or business experience with an understanding of marketing fundamentals, creative evaluation, and budget management.
- Fluent in Spanish both written and verbal.
- Impressive verbal and written skills.
- Positive energy with a “can do” attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong work ethic, detail-oriented and collaborates to get the job done.
- Fundamental understanding of the ESPN portfolio, including its DTC product ESPN+.
- Sports knowledge including both a fan and business perspective.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $55,760 to $74,800 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
