Definition
DEFINITION:
Under general supervision, the Professional Expert offers assistance based on supervisor assignments. Professional Experts:
- Possess specialized knowledge not typically found in District classifications.
- Are specially trained or experienced to provide expert services.
- Are employed temporarily for specific projects.
- Employment terms are outlined in the Professional Expert Agreement.
Non-academic, non-classified Professional Experts are at-will employees and do not have entitlement rights within the District. Their employment will not displace Classified personnel.
*Retired CalPERS Annuitants: may not exceed 960 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 through June 30)*
Qualifications and Physical Demands
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of playing and/or coaching experience in the assigned sport.
- Any combination of education and experience providing equivalent qualifications.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a professional expert position, subject to funding availability. Employment dates will be arranged with the supervisor. This recruitment is for a POOL of applicants for temporary assignments.
