Coordinates the planning, logistics, and execution of Hackensack Meridian Health sponsorships/partnerships, while ensuring our brand and strategies are on target through each activation. The ideal candidate will have a strong account and/or partner management background, experience activating events, a demonstrated track record of combining strategic and creative skills with the ability to deliver flawless outcomes.
This position will offer a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:A day in the life of a Sponsorship Specialist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Contributes to the mission of Hackensack Meridian Health and the Marketing Department by assisting in the support and implementation of activities to promote external awareness of the organization and its services and enhance confidence in its excellence.
- Supports the organization's marketing and communication strategies, tactics and brand development through implementation of key tactical initiatives through our sports, entertainment, and media sponsorships (NY Giants, New York Red Bulls, PNC Bank Arts Center, Count Basie Theater, etc.)
- Works collaboratively with the Marketing Team and others throughout the organization.
- Responsible for helping to field sponsorship requests and assessing their value
- Serve as a Brand Ambassador at sponsorship events, including set up, activation, and breakdown of our allotted space.
- Helps coordinate additional HMH team members as brand ambassadors
- Submits creative requests for Brand Activation through HMH project management software.
- Proofreads creative assets and traffics final output to external partner
- Develops scripting/content for sponsored content opportunities
- Manages the inventory and ordering of promotional items; leads the logistical planning of getting the items to/from events
- Assists with budget tracking
- Creates recap decks and internal presentations as required
- Assists with internal hospitality and ticket distribution
- Performs post-event/post-season analysis and summaries
- Interfaces with other departments, such as Purchasing, Accounts Payable/Finance, and Legal on a consistent basis to ensure contracts are valid and payments are made in a timely manner and coded accurately against the budget.
- Meets regularly with the team to provide status updates on all projects.
- While reporting to the Sponsorship Manager, provides assistance to the Creative Services Team and collaborates with other teams within the Marketing & Communications Department, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Sports Management, Special Events or similar.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant full time experience
- Analytical and creative mindset.
- Extremely detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills.
- Takes pride in delivery of high-quality projects; understands and respects that two pairs of eyes are better than one.
- Works gracefully under pressure--must be able to handle multiple projects at once.
- Gregarious and approachable personality that works easily with internal and external partners.
- Solid negotiation skills
- Working knowledge of all major social media platforms
- Positive, 'can do' attitude; Self-starter, solutions-oriented with good instincts.
- Ability to build strong internal relationships and leverage cross-department resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively relay important information to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Occasional travel within NJ and NY; must be able to work occasional weekend hours for sponsorship events.
- Must possess interest and general knowledge about sports and entertainment
