Our direct-client a large medical insurance provider is seeking to hire a Splunk Engineer to work 50%-60% Remote for a contract-to-hire role. The candidate must be located in commutable distance to Newark NJ 07105

Job Title: Splunk Administrator / Engineer (contractor to hire)
Duration: 6 months (contractor to hire) 
Location: Newark NJ 07105 Hybrid (2-3 days work from home)

Splunk Engineer (contractor to hire).

• Maintain and optimize the Splunk platform, both infrastructure and configurations. Provide guidance on various aspects of the Splunk environment including system administration and data administration.
• Undertakes day-to-day operational and user support. Documentation of best practice and SOPs.
• Executes new projects and POCs, including Enterprise Security Searchhead clustering, Splunk Smartstore implementation or Splunk Cloud migration, ITSI Service Monitoring, Splunk hardware refresh.
• Implement recommendations from Splunk Health Assessment.
• Implement automation use cases.
• Performs Splunk Enterprise upgrades, Splunk ES and ITSI upgrades, App and TA upgrade, and coordinate with infrastructure teams on maintenance and upgrades to Splunk platform.
