We are excited to announce an opening for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in Hinsdale, Illinois. In this role, you will lead the development of individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide specialized speech therapy services to help students overcome communication challenges. You’ll collaborate closely with parents, educators, and support staff to implement effective treatment strategies, and you’ll have access to professional development opportunities provided by the district.
Position Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students’ speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Deliver individualized and small-group therapy focused on various speech and language disorders, including articulation, fluency, voice, and comprehension.
- Develop and implement customized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique communication needs.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, providing insights to establish clear goals and effective interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to integrate speech therapy objectives into students’ academic activities and daily routines.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
Experience in a school setting is preferred.
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Valid Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools and intervention strategies.
Excellent communication skills, collaborative mindset, and commitment to ethical standards.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
