Speech Therapist - Multiple School Locations - Tandym

A nonprofit organization in New York City is looking to add a new, licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join one of their schools in Brooklyn and Manhattan

About the Opportunity:

• State Date: ASAP
• Assignment Length: Ongoing
• Setting: School-based
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 2:30pm
• Patient Population: IDD Pediatric population

Responsibilities:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will:

• Screen and evaluate the communication and feeding/swallowing skills of preschoolers
• Develop and implement the Therapy programs
• Participates in all aspects of the interdisciplinary treatment team
• Maintain and submit clinical documentation as required and within required time frames
• Evaluate the effectiveness of programs in the classroom
• Maintain appropriate and effective interpersonal relationships with team members, other staff, department members, supervisors, administrative staff, parents, and outside agencies
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Speech Therapy
• NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
• NYS TSSLD (TSSHH) certification

• Experience working with the Pediatric population
