Speech Therapist
Description of the role:
As a Speech Therapist at Neulife Rehabilitation of Florida, you will be responsible for assessing and treating individuals with communication and swallowing disorders. You will work closely with patients to develop personalized treatment plans and provide therapy sessions to improve their speech and language skills. Additionally, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the comprehensive care and progress of each patient.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities - Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results - Provide therapy sessions to improve patients' communication skills and swallowing function - Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed - Educate patients and their families about speech therapy exercises and techniques for continuous improvement - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care for patients
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field - Current state license or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist - Experience working with individuals with communication and swallowing disorders - Strong knowledge of speech therapy techniques and interventions - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
