Job DescriptionAsbury Methodist Village is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team. Be a part of our experienced team of rehabilitation professionals who are committed to helping each patient recover the strengths, skills, independence, and confidence to return home to family and friends, and an active life. Our speech therapists provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, and support to our residents in a caring, professional environment. This position offers flexibility with hours based on patient needs and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide therapy and interventions to improve residents' communication and swallowing abilities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure holistic care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in care conferences and provide updates on patients’ status and progress.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on communication and swallowing techniques.

- Current and valid state licensure in Maryland.
- Previous experience in a long-term care, skilled nursing, or CCRC setting is a plus.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
