SPPECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
Duties:
· All Work will be provided under the guidance/supervision of Ideal Therapy staff SLP.
· Perform initial and ongoing speech evaluations according to ASHA standards of practice as well as state standards.
· Develop Plan of Treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing evaluations including short- and long-term goals, collaboration demands of other staff members, and required patient and caregiver involvement.
· Implement Plan of Treatment on a consistent schedule and adjust this schedule and plan according to patient progress.
· Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures.
· Report patient’s progress to patient, patient caregivers and loved ones, facility staff and healthcare
professionals involved in ongoing treatment/care of patients.
· Develop a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Treatment with appropriate in- home care services.
· Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc.
· Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean, orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and speech therapy.
· All session notes must be completed within 24 hours following the patient’s treatment session.
And evaluations to be completed and locked within 3 days. The completion
· Supervision and training of CF, student intern and/or volunteers.
· Assist periodically with office/admin tasks when case load is down.
· Attend and participate in staff meeting/ training and in-service presentations.
· Complete all CUE requirements for re-licensure at least 3 months prior to your renewal date; unless you are enrolled for a certification training that is scheduled after that date.
Requirements:
Willing to relocate to Atlanta, Georgia.
