Job Description
Duties:
Provides skilled speech pathology service on an intermittent basis to patients in their homes in accordance with the physician's orders.
Job Conditions:
The ability to drive and the ability to access patients’ homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible are required.
Hearing, eyesight and physical dexterity must be sufficient to perform a physical assessment of the patient's condition and to perform patient care.
On occasion, may be required to bend, stoop, reach and move patient weight up to 250 pounds; lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds.
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
Qualifications:
A professional who meets one of the following:
The education and experience requirements for a Certificate of Clinical Competence in the appropriate area (speech pathology or audiology) granted by the American Speech & Hearing Association, or
The educational requirements for certification and is in the process of accumulating the supervised experience required for certification.
A Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology preferred.
A member of the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association preferred.
Must be licensed in Pennsylvania.
Must have at least one year of institutional experience.
Must have a criminal background check.
