We offer physical, occupational, speech-language and feeding therapy, as well as augmentative and alternative communication.
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in delivering therapy services to clients with communication and swallowing disorders. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
Administers the speech therapy treatment plan as developed by the Speech Language Pathologist.
Applies concepts of infection control and standard precautions in performing patient care activities.
Accepts clinical assignments that are consistent with the education and competence to care for the patients.
Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills
Meets mandatory continuing education requirements
Promotes compliance with all fiscal intermediary and/or other third party payers, through education, coaching and other assistance as necessary
Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency
Performs other related duties and activities as required.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of speech therapy assistant with a Bachelors Degree
One year experience as a Speech Therapy Assistant in an acute care or rehabilitation setting.
Pediatric and Home Health experience preferred.
