Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in providing essential speech therapy services to students in a school setting. The SLPA will assist in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy to support students' speech, language, and communication needs under the supervision of a licensed SLP. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and in collaboration with supervising Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).
- Provide therapy services to students individually and in group settings, focusing on areas such as articulation, language development, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication goals within the educational environment.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other documentation as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA).
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, preferably in speech therapy or related roles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in supporting students' communication development.
