Position Functions And Responsibilities
Provide treatment for 10 – 13 patients per day
Perform on-going therapeutic feeding services as assigned
Conduct initial Speech Language evaluations and re-evaluations as assigned
Conduct oral motor feeding assessments as assigned
Conduct annual hearing screenings of children on caseload
Participate in all departmental in-services and staff development activities
Develops and reviews patient care plans in conjunction with Physiatrist
Participates in clinical quality assurance initiatives
Provides patient education through verbal explanation, visual demonstration, or written documentation
Complete reporting activities as required by regulatory and departmental standards including but not limited to:
- daily notation of therapy
- all progress reports with updates
- rehabilitation rounds/staff conferences
- other activities that may be assigned from time to time
Comply with established CRC, Inc. policies and procedures re: quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control, confidentiality of patient information, customer service, attendance, punctuality, dress code, professional conduct, annual health assessments etc.
Participate in all departmental in-services and staff development activities
Supervise graduate students or CFY candidate as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL & LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
Masters Degree in Speech/ Language Pathology with ASHA (American Speech/Language & Hearing Association) Current (or in process) CCC status. Current New York State License (or in process) as a Speech/ Language Pathologist. Must maintain license in good standing.
Experience
- Preference of minimum One (1) year experience in clinical pediatric environment
- Strong communication and written skills compatible with the need to maintain ongoing interaction with CRC, Inc. staff patients and their families and comply with regulatory documentation of services.
- Must meet or exceed all general health standards and requirements for the position as established by employer in compliance with NYSDOH and other regulatory agencies if appropriate.
- Must be able to lift, carry, transfer and position patients in therapeutic equipment on static and movable surfaces.
- Must be able to stand and move freely while treating and supervising patients.
- Able to operate all assistive technology devices/equipment.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of patients as necessary.
$85,000.00/Yr. to $95,000.00/Yr.
