Our facility is committed to delivering personalized, high-quality care to each of our patients, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and a compassionate approach.Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Therapist to join our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in our patients. The Speech-Language Therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' quality of life and functional abilities.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments and goals.Provide therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, therapeutic techniques, and strategies to improve communication and swallowing function.Monitor and document patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.Adhere to ethical and professional standards set by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state licensing board.Qualifications:Master s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in California.Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Proven experience as a Speech-Language Therapist, preferably in a skilled nursing or post-acute setting.Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in speech-language pathology.CPR certification (preferred).Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies.Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and providing therapy.Manual dexterity and strength to perform therapeutic techniques and use clinical tools.
