Responsibilities:St. Joseph Medical Center Speech Pathology Department (SJMC) is looking for a dynamic Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our speech therapy team. This is a per diem day shift position. This Speech Therapists (SPLs) duties include, but are not limited to:
- responsible for the evaluation, treatment planning and implementation of treatment for patients demonstrating disorders of speech, language, cognition, swallowing and other services prescribed by a physician
- assists in developing and implementing new and ongoing programs beneficial for the enhancement of the department

- work to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience
- licensed by the state in Speech-Language Pathology
- graduate of an accredited college or university with Bachelor's in speech therapy, required
- MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology, preferred
- at least one year of experience in a hospital setting, preferred
- current BLS for healthcare provider's certification upon hire and maintain current
