Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities of patients
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals
• Provide therapy services to individuals with communication disorders, articulation difficulties, fluency disorders, voice disorders, and swallowing disorders
• Utilize evidence-based practices and innovative techniques to enhance communication skills
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists, and psychologists, to coordinate patient care
• Monitor progress, document therapy sessions, and maintain accurate records
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques and strategies for communication improvement and home-based practice

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatment approaches
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, diagnosis, and intervention planning
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
• Proficiency in conducting evaluations and using assessment tools
• Flexibility to work with diverse populations and age groups
