Compensation: $42 - $45/hour
Schedule: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Our healthcare client is seeking a motivated Speech Language Pathologist to join their team in New York, NY. This role involves conducting assessments, planning and implementing interventions, and monitoring student progress in speech and language development.

Responsibilities as the Speech Language Pathologist:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct speech and language assessments, analyze results, and prepare summaries for regulatory and oversight organizations.
- Therapy and Intervention: Plan and implement speech and language interventions based on established goals.
- Progress Monitoring: Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing written reports as required.
- Oral Motor Development: Assess and develop treatment plans for oral motor development and food intake abilities.
- Alternative Communication: Stay updated on and implement alternative communication techniques and AAC devices.
- Training and Documentation: Provide in-service training on AAC devices, maintain attendance records, progress notes, and therapy reports.
- Meetings and Communication: Participate in team meetings, communicate with parents/guardians, and ensure compliance with educational goals and regulations.
- Supervision: Supervise students and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates as assigned.
- Education: Masters Degree in Speech and Language Pathology.
- Experience: One year of prior Speech Therapy experience preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: NY State license in Speech and Language Pathology, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency, NYSED Certification as a Teacher of Speech and Hard of Hearing (TSHH); Bilingual Extension for bilingual therapists.
- Skills and Attributes: Strong technical skills with assistive technology and communication techniques, excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
