Speech-Language Pathologist - Integrated Therapy

Job Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to join our team, dedicated to helping children reach their full communication potential. The Speech Therapist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a supportive and collaborative environment. This role involves working closely with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver personalized therapy plans that foster effective communication and promote each child's overall well-being.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, and communication abilities in children. Identify disorders or delays and create a diagnosis based on evidence-based practices.

• Individualized Therapy Planning: Develop tailored treatment plans that align with each child's unique needs, incorporating a variety of therapeutic approaches to improve speech, language, and communication skills.

• Therapy Implementation: Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions, utilizing engaging activities and exercises to support skill development in articulation, fluency, voice, and language comprehension.

• Family & Caregiver Education: Collaborate with families and caregivers to educate them on effective communication strategies that can be used outside of sessions, fostering continuity of care.

• Progress Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and document each child’s progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed. Prepare detailed reports and communicate updates with the healthcare team and family.

• Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary team members, including Occupational Therapists, Behavior Analysts, and educators, to ensure a comprehensive approach to each child’s development.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program.

• Licensure: Active state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility for state licensure) and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) preferred.

• Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental delays, is highly preferred.

• Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage children and their families. Proficiency in assessment tools and therapy techniques for speech and language disorders.
