About the Job
A well known Education Administration located in New York, is in need of Speech-Language Pathologist.
Position Type: Contract
Location: New York
Schedule: M-F 07:45am-03:30pm
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Planning and implementing individualized intervention strategies that foster communicative competence
• Collaborating/consulting with classroom teachers
• Selecting and conducting appropriate assessments based on individual student needs
• Preparing evaluation summaries and annual review reports
• Develop treatment plans (IEPs) that are strength-based for overall educational improvement
• Participating in IEP meetings
• Engaging in continuing education and professional growth activities
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including proficiency in English and American Sign Language(ASL)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate
• Proficiency in American Sign Language required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related software
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Candidates must have the following credentials:
• CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• ASHA membership
• TSHH or TSSLD certificate
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Prolonged periods of walking around in and outside of the building
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
