Job Description:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Tygart Valley Health and Rehab, you will play a crucial role in empowering our residents to achieve their maximum independence. Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments to evaluate the communication and swallowing abilities of residents.
• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs and goals of each resident.
• Provide speech therapy services to residents, focusing on improving speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists and occupational therapists, to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the healthcare team to provide support and education.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in speech therapy and incorporate evidence-based practices into your treatment plans.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active or pending Speech Language Pathology (SLPCCC) state license.
• Proven track record of successful patient care experience.
• Experience working with a geriatric population is preferred.
