Speech Language, Occupational/Physical Therapist.
•Location:The Cecil County Public Schools (CCPS) (29 more locations in the state of Maryland)
•Schedule:full-time; Hours will not exceed seven (7) hours per day for a maximum of thirty-five (35)
hours/five (5) day work week, including travel time between locations.
Job Overview:
FAR Group has a requirement for Candidates to provide Speech/Language, Occupational and/or Physical
Therapy services for the CCPS students ranging in age from birth to age twenty-one.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Candidate must have capacity to provide Speech/Language, Occupational and/or Physical Therapy,
including but not limited to:
•Observing all school system and birth to age 21 policies and procedures as will be described during
the orientation;
•Screening and assessment, including completion of written reports;
•Participating in the development of appropriate IEPs and/or IFSPs;
•Participating in IEP or IFSP team meetings as necessary;
•Planning and implementing child/student/family services;
•Communicating with families/guardians as agreed upon;
•Providing consultation with teachers, families, and respective service agencies;
•Monitor completion of required services on IEP/IFSP;
•Document response to therapy and consultation using appropriate CCPS forms;
•Submitting completed Medical Assistance logs to the Office of Special Education;
•Adhere to state requirements for supervision of assistants and provide documentation of the
supervision;
Qualifications:
•Active license from the Maryland State Department of Mental Health and Hygiene in Occupational
Therapy (OT, OTA), Physical Therapy (PT, PTA), or Speech/Language Therapy (SLP, SLPA).
•Valid driver's license and an automobile for use.
•Previous Experience in the respective fields of qualifications.
•MPI Number and E-Prep account will be required of successful candidates.
