Sales Executive - Flatbed
Job Overview: Our client, a premier carrier for transport clients, is seeking to add a new Sales Executive, Flatbed, to their team. The Sales Executive will play a crucial role in driving the growth and stability of the company by applying effective sales and marketing strategies. The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying and securing new freight opportunities with the flatbed division, also ensuring alignment with the company's sales, quality, and profit objectives.
This is a Direct Hire role.
What you will be doing as a Sales Executive - Flatbed…
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding processes for new customers.
- Act as the main liaison between customers and the company to ensure a seamless experience.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to ensure satisfaction, retention, and continued business.
- Address and resolve customer issues or concerns promptly.
- Identify new markets and opportunities, developing a robust sales pipeline.
- Present, promote, and sell products/services to prospective and existing customers.
- Prepare and deliver effective presentations, product demonstrations, and sales proposals.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract conditions, with guidance from the VP.
- Solicit and manage freight load requests from current customers.
- Provide creative solutions for securing new business and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams to share customer insights and ensure service alignment.
- Work remotely, with travel as needed, including quarterly visits to the corporate office.
- Meet or exceed monthly sales and performance targets.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Sales Executive - Flatbed…
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation sales, preferably in an owner/operator environment
- Strong knowledge of CSA regulations, including Hours of Service, truck regulations, and shipping laws
- Proven ability to leverage sales tools such as ZoomInfo to identify prospects and generate new business
- Self-motivated, entrepreneurial mindset with resilience in the face of setbacks
- Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills
- Strong time management, organizational abilities, and a high level of integrity
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
