About the Job
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering and Chief Engineer, this position is the lead and or Sr. Engineer on duty.
Responsibilities
In addition to the standard Engineer Level #1, #2, and #3 job functions, Engineer Level #1 has primary responsibility for, but is not limited to the following: ensures that equipment, physical plant, and property are maintained properly so that equipment operates at optimum levels. Troubleshoots and repairs a variety of equipment, including but not limited to electrical systems. Provides efficient and safe service to equipment with minimal downtime and inconvenience for guests and co-workers.
- Promptly and professionally responds to all requests for emergency repair services.
- Professionally resolves electrical repair issues or seeks assistance when needed.
- Promptly communicates status of repair issues to the Director of Engineering.
- Trains new and or lesser-experienced Engineering employees on Resort equipment systems and methods to minimize repair time.
- Ability to work on electrical systems from low voltage up to 480v.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains motors, transformers, generators, lights, appliances, circuits, wiring, and other electrical system equipment and components in compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
- Operates a variety of electrical testing equipment in locating and determining types of electrical malfunctions.
- Assists in the maintenance of needed supplies, materials and equipment to minimize repair time. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Maintains an organized and clean work area.
- Performs preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to be responsive to guest issues and willing to pitch in and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player.
Assist all guests, guest functions and all group set-ups as required.
- Must provide own small hand tools

Qualifications
- Ability to diagnose and repair major systems such as but not limited to electrical wiring, motors, impellors, boilers, pumps, valves and mechanical piping systems, HVAC controls, and operations.
- A minimum 4 years of Hotel/Commercial Electrical Trade work experience
- Above basic maintenance abilities required.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to self motivate and manage time & activity
- Good customer service skills
- Able to communicate well with the team, management and guests.
