Position Overview:
As the Specialist, Spare Parts for North and Central America (NCA), youre a key member of the Process & Reliability team , reporting to the Sr. Manager, Regional Process Maintenance (NCA). You will contribute to the success of Ball by controlling and optimizing spare part stock in collaboration with NCA production plants and central purchasing department.
Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include:
+ Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, formulate action plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
+ Work with key stakeholders across leadership levels to ensure plants have the correct amount of spare parts available.
+ Collaborate with plant stakeholders to identify opportunities and improvements in storeroom process to reduce spare parts value, leveraging best practices and standards implementation such as model storeroom initiatives.
+ Work collaboratively with Global Process/Spare Parts teams to implement and improve best practice initiatives.
+ Create and implement processes to review and eliminate slow moving and obsolete parts.
+ Support the creation of projects by defining budgets and necessary planning to optimize results.
+ Closely monitor the evolution of results and trends, anticipate actions through analysis of indicators and strategic meetings with plant teams.
+ Actively promote a culture of safety, 5S in the workplace, quality, and encourage adherence to standards and practices of excellence.
What Are We Looking For?
+ High School Diploma or equivalent education; with a preference toward a bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or other related discipline.
+ Minimum 3 years spare parts management for in an manufacturing environment.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in process optimization.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in problem solving activities and leading cross-functional teams and projects.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience influencing and coaching cross-functional teams in process optimization activities and continuous improvement activities.
+ Demonstrated Skills:
+ Communication Skills:
+ Strong communication, coaching and leadership skills to collaborate with different departments & suppliers & stakeholders to achieve and sustain targets and objectives.
+ Leadership:
+ Management style heavily oriented to training and coaching as well as leading and influencing cross-functional project teams and stakeholders to generate cost savings and process optimization.
+ Analytical/Technical Skills:
+ Experience in industrial process analysis with a systemic approach and knowledge of continuous improvement tools.
+ Technical analysis skills to evaluate and optimize spare part potentials across production stages and manage data analytics.
+ Computer Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, with an emphasis in Excel; ability to manage computerized data.
+ Working Knowledge of:
+ Operational excellence tools/Lean Manufacturing tools for identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce all different kinds of waste as well as spare parts inventory in the production process
Compensation & Benefits:
+ The preferred location for this role is our Westminster, CO campus; but we will consider a REMOTE candidate, dependent on experience, qualifications and willingness to engage in regular travel to Colorado.Travel (30-40%) and local commute between Ball locations and other possible non-Ball locations will be required.If based in Colorado, this position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site for three (3) or more days per work week (with core collaboration days of Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday).
+ Hiring Salary Range: $82,300 - $116,390 *. Salary to be determined by the applicants education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. *
+ This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
