About the Role
This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a passion for videography and graphics to gain hands-on experience and contribute to meaningful projects that support AIHA’s mission. They will work closely with our experienced team members to create compelling video content that effectively communicates our message and engages our audience; and assist in the design and layout of digital and print graphics as needed. This position reports to the Director, Marketing and works closely with the Associate, Graphics, and Coordinator, Social Media.

Based on our business set-up and to maximize remote work opportunities, AIHA only employs individuals who live in Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia. To be considered a candidate must live in, or be willing to relocate to, Washington, DC, Maryland, or Virginia.
Salary
The pay for this position ranges from $55k - $60k based on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the production of high-quality video content for various purposes, including promotional videos, event coverage, educational materials, social media posts, and member testimonials.
- Manage or assist with camera setup, operation, and maintenance during video shoots, ensuring proper framing, focus, audio, and lighting for optimal video quality.
- Capture b-roll footage, interviews, and event highlights under the guidance of marketing team members, ensuring that key moments and storytelling elements are effectively captured.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of video equipment before and after shoots, including cameras, lighting, microphones, and other accessories.
- Under the direction of marketing team members, provide video editing and post-production processing, including video editing, color correction, audio mixing, and adding graphics or text overlays.
- Organize and maintain video files, footage, and other assets.
- When needed, assist the Associate, Graphics, in the creation of print and digital graphics which adhere to existing style guidelines.
- Contribute ideas and creative input to brainstorming sessions and planning meetings to enhance the quality and impact of our video content.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- A strong passion for videography and storytelling, with a desire to pursue a career in marketing and video production.
- Required
- Working knowledge of:
- Basic knowledge of camera operation, composition, audio, and lighting principles.
- Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.
- Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and concepts
- Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Previous experience or coursework in videography, film production, communications, or a related field is strongly preferred.
