Specialist Mechanic - Cape Regional Medical Center

Inspects and performs minor maintenance and repair of electrical wiring circuits and equipment including pneumatic tube system.

Inspects and performs minor maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Inspects and performs minor maintenance and repair of plumbing systems.

Inspects and performs all phases of maintenance, renovations, new construction and repair to the building systems in accordance with manufacturer's specifications and established practices.

Reads and interprets construction blueprints, manufacturer’s instructions to construct and/or assemble or install new equipment.

Observes and adheres to safety and other regulations and practices and contributes to a positive work climate and overall team effort of the department. To include lock-out/tag-out, confined space and MRI safety.

Performs other duties as assigned, including responding to all codes and assisting in enforcing hospital security rules and policies regarding restraints. Completes all safety educational requirements.

Completes all work orders assigned in addition to corresponding documentation needed to submit/close work orders in the CMS system.
