Specialist - Intensive Family Support - Pathlight Group

We are seeking and experienced specialist to join us as a full-time professional supporting children with Autism and their Families in community and home based settings assigned to our IFFS Program through Massachusetts Department of Development Services (DDS).

What is IFFS? It is our program for Intensive Flexible Family Supports that assists children ages 3 - 18 whose communication and behavior challenges make it difficult for the family to provide care. The specialists in our program help to keep children in a familiar environment rather than being placed in a residential program. This successful program makes it possible for most of them to continue living at home with their families.

In your role, you will have time with the children and families helping to identify needs and engage supports, help implement for the child and family and track the results achieved. You will be an advising intermediary to requisition of additional supports and to educate other providers on working with the child and family. You will be a critical key to accessing funding as required for additional supports and services that will benefit the child and family.

... and ultimately, you will help children and their families become more capable and independent and to exit or transition from this intensive program into subsequent programs that meet their next levels of needs. This includes additional programs created or recommended by Pathlight Group for the next level of supports.

Location: Hampshire County with travel throughout Western Massachusetts. This is a regional program and requires travel throughout all of Western Massachusetts depending on caseload assignment.

Qualifications:

• Broad knowledge of a discipline involving broad theoretical knowledge equal to a complete 4 year college education.
• Knowledge of Autism and Best Practices
• Over 1 Year up to and Including 3 years working with children/adults with developmental disabilities and their families
• Valid Driver's License and Reliable Transportation/Vehicle

Hours: 40 Hrs/Week, Monday-Friday with flexibility to meet programmatic needs.

Salary: $41,454.40
