We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Need Teaching Aide or Behavior Technician (BT) to join our team. As an BT, you will work directly with individuals with autism and other developmental disorders, implementing behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role is crucial in providing support to enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families.

This role is crucial in providing support to enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families.
Duties:
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collect and record data on client behavior to monitor progress and effectiveness of interventions.
- Assist clients in developing essential life skills through structured activities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide support and guidance on behavior management strategies.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in special education and patient care.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients during sessions.
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to patient care and behavioral health.
- Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum or those with developmental disabilities.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Knowledge of special education practices and how they apply to behavior intervention.
- Familiarity with data collection methods used in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Experience working with children, particularly in a therapeutic or educational setting.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with clients, families, and team members.
