Special Hazard/Suppression Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Special Hazard/Suppression Technician with a background Fire Suppression with at leaast 1+ years experience working in Fire suppression and a good understanding on how Fire Suppression systems work.
*Company provides on the job training and access to courses to gain certifications.
Responsibilities of the Fire Suppression Technician:
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair fire suppression systems, including pre-engineered systems, portable fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood systems, in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer specifications
- Conduct routine inspections of fire suppression systems and equipment to ensure proper functionality and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform troubleshooting and diagnose issues with fire suppression systems, identifying and resolving problems efficiently and effectively
- Collaborate with clients and provide professional advice on fire suppression system upgrades, modifications, and compliance matters
- Keep accurate records of all inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and installations performed
- Stay up to date with industry developments, new technologies, and regulatory changes related to fire suppression systems
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices at all times, maintaining a safe work environment
Requirements:
- Some knowledge of fire suppression systems, including pre-engineered systems, portable fire extinguishers, and kitchen hood systems
- Some ability to install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair various fire suppression systems and equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
