Salary: $17.78 - $18.93
Position Overview: The Special Events Coordinator plays a crucial role in the successful planning, management, and execution of all agency special events in collaboration with the Director of Development. This dynamic position involves overseeing a variety of events, including the Spring Wine Mixer, Cruisin' for a Cause, Turkey Trot, and Holiday Gift Wrap Booth, as well as developing new fundraising initiatives based on input from the Director and the Foundation Events Committee. The coordinator is responsible for providing updates during quarterly meetings, recording minutes in the absence of the Executive Assistant, and ensuring that each event runs smoothly from inception to completion. A successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong drive to make each event a memorable experience that supports the agency's mission. Flexibility is essential, as some events may require work on holidays, evenings, and weekends.
Work Location: Canandaigua, NY
Schedule: 8-4 M-F with flexibility to meet agency needs.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates all agency special events from start to finish, which will include, but are not limited to the Spring Wine Mixer, Cruisin' for a Cause, Turkey Trot, Holiday Gift Wrap Booth, and other fundraising events as needed.
- Maintains & reconciles fundraising financial records, including input of all donations to appropriate accounts, adding accounts as needed, clearing old accounts, generating fund reports, and maintaining events financial records with the assistance of the Director, Finance.
- Work with vendors, venues and volunteers to coordinate all aspects of special events.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and one (1) year special events experience, or equivalent, with experience in PR/Fund Raising/volunteer environment preferred.
- Must possess excellent administrative, verbal communication skills, organizational skills, computer skills and the ability to work well with staff and the public.
