Job Description

Currently hiring a special education teacher to work with students near Forest Park, IL for the 2024-2025 school year.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a student-centered approach to teaching and learning.
• Experience with co-teaching, providing reading and math interventions, progress monitoring, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators and parents
• Provides responsive, rigorous and differentiated instruction to ensure all students are successful
• Participates in collaborative curriculum design
• Creates a positive classroom environment
• Exhibits flexibility, initiative and creativity
• Possesses strong classroom management skills
• Uses student learning data to adjust instruction, monitor student growth, and design IEP goals
• Demonstrates well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ensures that each student’s goals and objectives are addressed; maintains and updates special education records for accuracy and compliance.
• She/he will collaborate with administration, general education teachers and related service providers
• Other duties as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL); Endorsements: LBS1
