Special Education Teacher - Empowering Student Success - Clarifi Staffing Solutions

The Special Education Teacher will support students with a wide range of learning, emotional, physical, and developmental disabilities. In this role, you will design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), collaborate closely with school staff and families, and apply proven teaching strategies to encourage both academic and social development. You’ll establish a structured, supportive classroom environment that nurtures student growth and design IEPs tailored to each student’s unique needs. Maintaining accurate records of student progress and regularly updating IEP goals are essential responsibilities. Through regular assessments, you’ll evaluate students’ strengths and growth areas, adapting curriculum and teaching methods as needed to meet diverse learning requirements. Additionally, you will provide emotional and social support, fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere. Close collaboration with general education teachers, specialists, and family members is key to fully supporting each student’s educational journey.

This position requires a valid Illinois teaching certification in Special Education, as well as strong skills in communication, organization, and teamwork. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field is required, with prior experience working with children with special needs preferred.
