Position: RSP/Special Education Provider/Teacher (Resource Specialist Program)
As an RSP/Special Education Provider, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality instruction and support to students with disabilities. This position involves collaborating with CACS and SFUSD teams to provide innovative, student-centered learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Curriculum Development: Design and implement an arts-integrated, project-based curriculum that aligns with California State Standards and supports the diverse needs of all students, including English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
- Collaboration: Partner with grade-level colleagues, the Director of Arts Programming, and SFUSD specialists to create culturally relevant lessons integrating arts, technology, and other disciplines.
- Inclusive Environment: Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, equity, and social justice.
- Assessment and Communication: Conduct formative and summative assessments, provide regular progress updates, and maintain open communication with families.
- Professional Development: Participate in training and workshops, including school-sponsored professional development and SFUSD initiatives.
- Events and Meetings: Attend school events such as Back to School Night, Parent-Teacher Conferences, and IEP/SST meetings to engage with the school community.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualifications:
- Valid California Special Education (Mild/Moderate) Teaching Credential with English Learner Authorization (required).
- Commitment to equity, social justice, and fostering inclusive learning environments.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred, particularly in arts-integrated or project-based learning settings.

- Salary Scale for Credentialed Staff:
- Bachelor’s Degree and less than 30 semester units: $75,918.74–$88,393.64
- Bachelor’s Degree with 30–59 semester units: $79,184.46–$95,169.32
- Bachelor’s Degree with 60+ semester units: $81,708.60–$125,794.76
- Stipends for National Board Certification ($5,000) and hard-to-fill subject areas ($1,000–$2,000).
