The successful candidate will provide support to students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), assisting in their academic, social, and behavioral development. The paraprofessional will work closely with teachers and other school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: - Assist the special education teacher in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with ASD.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing instructional material and addressing specific learning needs.
- Assist with classroom management, ensuring a structured and supportive environment.
Behavioral Support: - Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as directed by the special education teacher or behavior specialist.
- Monitor and document student behavior, providing feedback to the teacher and support team.

Instructional Assistance: - Assist in preparing instructional materials and classroom activities.
