Job Summary
Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the USSF/SSC Space Safari Support Operations Research Analyst Sr SME position. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse and talented group of individuals committed to driving success.
The Operations Research Analyst will provide critical support for various Space Safari special projects and Tactically Responsive Space (TacRS) activities in El Segundo, CA. This role involves collaborating across the Department of Defense (DoD) and intelligence communities to assist SSC in planning, coordinating, and executing TacRS missions. Responsibilities encompass space vehicle development, ground systems, mission planning, integration, launch operations, logistics, and on-orbit operations.
Key duties include the day-to-day management of Space Safari special projects, requiring regular engagement with mission partners and stakeholders, including industry collaborators. The role will also involve providing strategic guidance to senior Space Safari representatives and leading junior contractor activities.
A strong background in space systems is essential, including experience with spacecraft buses, payloads/sensors, ground systems, launch processes, and operational activities. Telework is not permitted for this position.
Skills / Experience Required
- Active Top-Secret clearance with SCI Eligibility
- May be required to consent to and successfully complete a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph
- 20+ years (Large Space Program Acquisition / Systems Engineering / Operations)
- 5 of those 20+ years should be in Operations or Operations support positions
- 15+ years of experience with National Security Space ground, space, and/or launch systems
- Provide recommendations on the overall Acquisition Strategy, to include tailoring of milestone requirements and documentation based on warfighter needs, inform technical and operational details for system deliverables
- Strong skills in communicate systems development by understanding and advocating for warfighter technical requirements
- Assist WIO program manager with drafting, reviewing, updating, coordinating of various acquisition-related products/documents and support materials necessary for the life cycle management of contract
- Ability to brief technical audiences as well as General Officer/Flag Officer audiences on mission impacts
- Investigate and evaluate marketing methods, consumer insights, advertising channels, to continually improve results
- Collect and analyze data on established and prospective customers, competitors, and marketing channels/sources
- Help to identify, analyze/execute new and potential product/services, markets, and advertising opportunities
- Prepare reports that interpret consumer behavior, market opportunities/conditions, marketing results, trends, and investment levels
- Prepare and present materials/findings both internally and externally for the marketing focus/channel he or she support
- Provide insights which facilitate the development of plans for partner promotion
- Execute against partner marketing plans to deliver results that exceed defined objectives
- Responsible for meeting specific web page conversion and engagement KPIs, with the end goal being continued growth of sales and attributable revenue
- Provide technical direction in national and tactical cryptologic capabilities
- Support the program by providing research, modeling, technical analysis, and technical writing support
- Review, analyze and provide recommendations pertaining to the modeling and simulation analytical tools and efforts
- Work cross-functionally with web development and design, content, corporate analytics, sales, and product marketing teams to push priority projects through to completion
- Brief technical and General Officer/Flag Officer audiences on mission impacts
- Effectively work as a member of larger dynamic teams
- Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively work as a member of larger dynamic teams
- Must be willing to work inside USG facilities as telework is not permitted
Education / Certifications
- Master's degree preferred in Astro/aeronautical mechanical systems, engineering, computer science
