Arcfield is supporting the U.S. Space Force develop and deploy the next generation of resilient capabilities to deliver critical information to quickly win and even prevent future wars. You will develop Mission Threads, Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and digital mission and system models. You will exercise your skills by researching new requirements, technologies, and threats, and using innovative engineering methodologies and tools to create tomorrow’s solutions.

- Be the recognized expert who designs, researches, and develops highly advanced applications, which result in new solutions and innovations for the U.S. Space Force.
- Lead efforts to capture new business through technical work and capability briefings.
- Guide product, solution, and process design related to applications
- Lead impact and system analysis based on technical and mission requirements
- Lead a sub-team of designers and writers in support of implementation
- Oversee the development of test architectures and technology validation strategies; developing and nurture consensus and working relationships with technical teams and integration on projects and programs
- Lead and contribute in technical Centers of Excellence (CoE) collaborating with other technical teams in the exchange and transfer of technical knowledge and in the development and evolution of architecture standards, guidelines, reference architecture, and the systems Technology Roadmap; and performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Required:
- BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 10+
- 12+ years of experience in large-scale space mission and systems engineering and integration on DoD and IC space programs
- 6+ years of experience developing operational requirements, CONOPS, architectures, use cases, technical specifications, ICDs, and integration plans and roadmaps for space and ground systems
- Experience conducting or supporting space system Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and System Verification Reviews (SVRs)
- Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
- Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
- Ability to be highly motivated, and demonstrate a dynamic work ethic and strong desire to contribute to the DoD mission
- Must Possess and Maintain Top Secret /SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS
Desired:
- Experience performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space-based remote sensing systems
- Experience using a digital engineering approach to analyze and develop system definitions and technical baselines
- Knowledge of the OPIR mission, remote sensing payloads, communication and networking, data processing, exploitation and dissemination, space system operations and tasking, mission planning, or space-ground integration
- Knowledge of DoD 5000.01 and 5000.02
- Knowledge of hardware and software development processes and Agile methods
- TS/SCI clearance
- Master’s degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or CS field
- INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certifications
