Rockstar Sous Chef Needed for Michael Schlow’s Alta Strada’s Upcoming Opening
We are seeking a Sous Chef to join the opening team at the refined Alta Strada DC. The Sous Chef will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Executive Chef as well as with the Schlow Restaurant Group culinary team in continuing to make the restaurant one of the best establishments in the area.

Duties/Responsibilities include:
Supporting the Executive Chef in overseeing and leading the entire back-of-house restaurant team.
Training of new back-of-house employees with the Executive Chef
Taking charge of the back-of-house team in the absence of the Executive Chef
Working with the General Manager to provide ongoing training of the menu to the front of house.
Monitoring and maintaining the highest culinary standards
Manage food cost and labor targets
Ensuring all aspects of service and kitchen operations are of the highest standards.
Creating and maintaining a learning environment and guiding professional development.
Collaborating with the Executive Chef on menus

Compensation details:
Compensation is based on experience and is generous.
