Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for excellence in culinary arts, demonstrate strong leadership skills, and possess a keen eye for detail. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food and service, and collaborating with the culinary team to maintain our standards of excellence.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
â— Collaborate with the Executive Sous Chef to establish kitchen goals and implement strategies for success.
â— Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff during service hours.
â— Maintain quality, presentation, and consistency standards for all food items.
â— Assist with ordering, inventory management, and preparation as needed.
â— Address guest feedback promptly and implement corrective actions when necessary.
â— Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
â— Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork among staff members.
â— Perform related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
â— Valid Food Handler Certification or equivalent.
â— Experience in a leadership role within a culinary environment.
â— Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
â— Proficiency in English language.
â— Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
â— Two (2) years of experience in a similar position.
â— Certification of Culinary training or apprenticeship.
â— Familiarity with budgeting and forecasting processes.
SKILLS/APTITUDES:
â— Strong guest service orientation.
â— Excellent communication skills.
â— Proficient in kitchen equipment operation and knife skills.
â— Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
â— Problem-solving abilities and self-motivation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
â— Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds.
â— Manual dexterity and fine motor skills required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
â— Indoors, primarily in the kitchen area.
â— Exposure to heat, cold, and steam.
â— Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Rate: Yearly pay
Shift: Day shift, Evening shift, Morning shift
Supplemental Pay Types: Bonus opportunities
Weekly Day Range: Monday to Friday, Weekends as needed Work Setting: Casual dining restaurant
