We are seeking a talented and driven Sous Chef to join our team at a renowned upscale Tex-Mex restaurant in Rosemont, IL. With a base salary of $70,000$75,000, this role allows you to hone your culinary expertise while leading a dedicated kitchen team in crafting exceptional dining experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and execute creative inspired menus.
- Ensure consistency and quality of all dishes while maintaining presentation standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, inventory management, and staffing.
- Mentor and train kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and professional growth.
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
- Contribute to cost control efforts through efficient use of resources.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in upscale or high-volume kitchens
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent certifications preferred (e.g., ServSafe).
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
