Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in the oversight of all day-to-day operational activities of the department
Maintains personal connections with guests, clients and community organizations to encourage guest loyalty
Assists in supervising team members with efforts relating to recruitment, orientation, training, scheduling, performance management, counseling and other team member relations issues
Maintains knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform any position in the department
Prepares foods according to specifications and quality standards established in recipes and procedures
Prepares equipment and food based on forecasted needs and events
Maintains working knowledge of all kitchen machinery operations
Maintains updated knowledge related to current menu options, preparation methods and techniques, and ingredients
Maintains inventory controls and dates all incoming products
Assists in monitoring and upholding policies and procedures for safety of guests and team members
Assists in maintaining cleanliness throughout the department
Assists team members and other departments as needed to contribute to operational efficiency
Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by leadership
